We have been closely watching NAR’s HUB as information is released regarding the resignation of NAR President Kenny Parcell. Yesterday, President-Elect Tracy Kasper announced that she will step into the President role effective immediately.
Following the release of the New York Times article, Kasper penned a message to NAR members in which she addressed the issues brought forward in the article. She also shared some of NAR’s policies and announced the creation of a Presidential Advisory Group focused on NAR’s culture. This message also includes some key points to reference should you receive questions from members in your regions.
While Texas REALTORS® can’t speak to the facts, processes or outcomes of this specific situation, we can reiterate to all that Texas REALTORS® continues to be fully committed to providing a professional and respectful environment for its members and employees, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality. We work tirelessly to make sure all are aware of the standards, policies and processes throughout our organization. We understand that our work is never done in terms of education, awareness, and transparency as we continue to protect, support and empower all voices.
Each member of our governing body and committees agrees to abide by several policies and guidelines for conduct, including harassment. Executive Board members, including the Leadership Team, sign these policies each December. You can find those policies here on the RVP site. Additionally, attendees who register for Texas REALTORS® meetings via CVENT agrees to and is held accountable to a code of conduct. Finally, any member or staff person may report inappropriate behavior at any time by alerting leadership or senior staff, or by filing a complaint using the online complaint form found here.
As leaders, you can help us create the safe and respectful environment that members and staff deserve by reporting violations and concerns to Texas REALTORS® leadership or executive staff. As mentioned before, this is an ongoing effort to which we must all commit.

Thank you Mike for posting this. Do we (RVPs) need to share this with the AE's in our Region or do they have an "AE Update platform" similar to ours? As a baby RVP, I'm still learning my way. Thank you for your patience!
