RVP Resources from Winter Meeting

ree

Good morning. It was great to see everyone at Winter Meeting and engage in meaningful discussion throughout the course of the meeting. Wanted to follow up on two items that were mentioned during our RVP meeting on Saturday.

First, we have the updated Texas REALTORS® 360 Meeting Guidelines and Checklist. This document serves as a reference and guide for Regional Vice Presidents and local associations responsible for organizing 360 meetings. It outlines responsibilities, expectations, and provides useful details for planning a successful event. Our Meetings team is available to assist and clarify any aspects of this document. Late last year, a task force was formed to revise these guidelines to make them more practical and helpful for meeting planning. AE's have also received this document, so feel free to discuss it with them as you start your planning process.

Next is the summary of our 2024 Member Survey. With participation from 1,800 members, the survey provides us with invaluable insights into what matters most to Texas REALTORS® at this juncture.

The survey reveals a strong appreciation for essential services such as ZipForms, advocacy, legal support, market analytics and education. These tools are vital for the daily operations and success of our members. Furthermore, the survey highlighted significant concerns around industry litigation, with 89% of respondents indicating awareness or high awareness of this issue. Other pressing matters include affordability, shifts in consumer behavior, regulatory changes, and economic downturns.

Despite these challenges, it's heartening to see a strong sentiment of resilience among members, with 77% saying that they are confident that they will be members of Texas REALTORS® in three years. One member summed it up nicely stating, "Why would I consider not being a member. They have too many ways to help in the development and growth of myself and others in our careers and business."
